Bagasse Lunch Boxes with Lids: 750ml, 1000ml and 1300ml Buying Guide

Choosing a bagasse lunch box starts with the meal: how much food it holds, how the lid closes and how the filled pack performs during handling. Greenland’s BGS LB series offers three rectangular sugarcane pulp lunch boxes—750 ml, 1000 ml and 1300 ml—with the same 214 × 140 mm footprint and different depths. This guide helps foodservice distributors, restaurants and central kitchens compare the range and prepare a clear purchasing brief.

Three capacities with one footprint

A common length and width can make a meal-box range easier to plan across different portion sizes. The shallow 750 ml model is a starting point for lighter meals, salads and side dishes; the 1000 ml model for standard rice, pasta and prepared meals; and the deeper 1300 ml model for larger portions. These are selection examples: actual fit depends on food volume, shape and the headspace needed beneath the lid.

Greenland BGS LB lunch box specifications
Model Capacity L × W × H Box weight Standard packing
BGS LB750 750 ml 214 × 140 × 38 mm 16 g 4 × 125 pcs; 500 pcs/carton
BGS LB1000 1000 ml 214 × 140 × 53 mm 17 g 4 × 125 pcs; 500 pcs/carton
BGS LB1300 1300 ml 214 × 140 × 69 mm 19 g 4 × 125 pcs; 500 pcs/carton

Dimensions, capacities and weights are nominal product specifications. Confirm final tolerances, usable fill volume and order packing in the quotation. Specify lids separately; the box packing above does not establish lid inclusion.

Choose capacity using a filled sample

A capacity label alone does not tell you whether a meal will fit comfortably. A leafy salad and a dense rice meal can occupy the same volume while behaving differently when the lid is fitted. Fill samples with your intended menu, check food height at the corners and leave enough clearance to close the pack without compressing the meal.

For a central kitchen serving several portion sizes, compare all three depths using the same packing routine. Check how staff fill and close each box, how the filled packs stack and whether they fit your delivery bags or secondary cartons. Confirm the height of the complete closed pack, including its selected lid.

Specify the box and lid together

The BGS LB range is designed for matched lid programs. Tell us whether food visibility, condensation control, venting or heat performance matters most for your service. Lid material and construction should be selected for the actual food, temperature and delivery conditions.

The shared 214 × 140 mm footprint is useful for range planning, but it is not proof that any lid of similar dimensions will fit. Confirm the exact lid model and rim match for each ordered box. Request samples of the complete combination and check closure retention after filling, stacking and transport.

Test the complete pack under service conditions

Use your normal meal preparation and delivery process for sample evaluation. Record the food, filling temperature and expected holding time so results can be compared consistently.

  • Food contact: check the base, walls and corners after exposure to the actual meal, including moisture, oil and sauces.
  • Closure and handling: inspect lid engagement, leakage during normal handling, and the condition of the pack after delivery.
  • Stacking: assess filled-pack stability and deformation under your intended stack and transport load.
  • Storage and reheating: if freezing or microwave use is required, confirm the suitability of both box and lid and validate the intended time and temperature before use.

Do not assume an oven rating or a shelf-life claim from the bagasse material alone. A laminated barrier tray is a different packaging specification; performance established for that structure should not be transferred to this lunch-box range.

Plan wholesale packing and private-label details

The listed standard packing is 500 boxes per carton for each model. Ask for carton dimensions, gross weight, lid packing and the pallet plan when comparing freight and warehouse requirements. MOQ, lead time and mixed-model arrangements should be confirmed for your quantity and customization brief.

Project options can include fiber color, embossed branding, sleeves, labels, barcodes and carton artwork. Identify which components need branding and provide the artwork before sample approval. See our private-label packaging guide for related planning questions.

Request documents for the exact product

Specify the destination market and any food-contact, PFAS-related or compostability requirements in your inquiry. Ask for documents that identify the supplied model, material structure, relevant facility and tested conditions. Any environmental claim should be checked against the finished product and its intended disposal route, including the lid and any coating.

Our product and factory document guide explains which details to request. Document availability and coverage are confirmed for the proposed supply; a general material description does not establish certification for every configuration.

Frequently asked questions

Are these square or rectangular lunch boxes?

The BGS LB boxes have a rectangular 214 × 140 mm footprint. The three models vary in depth: 38 mm, 53 mm and 69 mm.

Does the quotation include lids?

Specify the required lid and ask for its price and packing alongside the box. Confirm whether the quotation covers boxes only or complete box-and-lid sets.

Which size should I choose for meal delivery?

Start with the portion and required headspace, then compare filled samples. The 750 ml, 1000 ml and 1300 ml options provide progressively more depth; final selection depends on the menu and handling tests.

Request samples and a wholesale quotation

Send the BGS LB model, quantity by capacity, lid requirements, food application, filling and storage conditions, destination country and custom packing needs. Include any required test documents so we can review the product and documentation together.
